gah!, unwanted spaces... Options

there is one problem i have been having with my modules. i have custom left and right modules, and the only default module i have is my profile one. i have taken out the subscription and posting calender modules because i do not want them. however, there is a problem with the spacing in the left modules. there is a big space between the profile module and the first custom one.

here is what it looks like.

is there a code that can take out that annoying space?
