Who here is a Parselmouth. I sure am happy.gif .

I made a snake back off today. When I went hiking. Very scary. But I hissed quitely, in my head actually. And i stood there, and it went away.

This thread is really asking if you've survived a snake encounter.

Well, if I've encountered a snake more than once, I don't remember it. There are tons of places to meet snakes in my grandmother's village. pinch.gif

When I was less than 5 years old ( I don't remember the exact age), a lady came by and she had one/two snakes with her. I think she tried to get me to hold one and I went close to touch it, but got very scared. Then she tried to put it around my neck and I freaked. My grandmother told her to go away because she was scaring me. Yeah... I'm now extremely terrified of snakes.

Never heard of Parselmouth at that time, so I couldn't try your trick.

Tom Felton (aka Malfoy) is a total Hottie *drools*

I've encountered snakes...but they were nice snakes from my bio class and they were fun to play with! I even offered to take care of one over the summer but my dad said it might just kill my grandma by a heart attack....I still miss fluffy (the snake)

i think i killed a rattlesnake. or was it?
well...one day i was in my basement and there was something hissing near the door. i was like 'WTF'? and i went over and saw a small snake. not so big. it started ratteling so i assumed it was a rattlesnake. lol. they're poisonouse right? i got kinda scared but then i found a rock and i threw it at it. i felt really bad but i didnt wanna die from poison either. since it was dead, i gave it a funeral in my backyard and buried it. cry.gif

There was a snake at my front door once..



It almost bit me.. but I moved my hand the split second it struck. Lucky me. And yes, I did take a picture, it was much too good of an opportunity to pass up. (No, that is not the reason it struck at me. I touched it to get it to move from my front door and it was a cottonmouth water moccasin and they are naturally aggressive snakes so it struck at me.)
