hey guys, im going tanning tomorow with my friend and they have all gone before and i kinda feel stupid asking them what to do, so have any of you guys gone and like what do you do when you go in there?

i have not gone but my friend went and told me to go and i asked him how it would be like. (we never went together, but whatever)
he said you go in there and pay and blah blah and then you have to buy this lotion thing that you put on and then you put it on and then you go into a room, take your clothes off, and then go into this box thing and it gets hot and stuff, and then there's a button to push and it opens the door and i guess that's it. don't ask me, i've never been tanning. |

i havent gone tanning so idk and only one person i know did those... y dont u just ask ur friends?? i dont see wat is so embarrassing.
should this really be here?? wouldnt this be like fashion or health or something?? |

idk its not that its embarassing i did ask her, and she just old me that you go into a room take your clothes off and put these things to protect your eyes

Whenever it's a first time for something, I pretty much feign helplessness and let my friends feel superior. That way they'll feel good about helping you with how to, for this instance, get a tan in a salon. It's great, and it let's your friends feel more bonded to you.

I've never gotten a tan before, mostly because I'm naturally tan to begin with.

I've never been tanning before, but like what Cake said. You go pay for the session you want and put on that lotion.
But I learned that ..since it's your first time you shouldn't go tanning for more than 5 minutes. To risk getting burned, You should start at 3 minutes and if that doesn't seem enough just work your way up 2 minutes at a time..
