Kanye West-Touch The Sky

Kanye West-Diamonds Are Forever

Common-The Corner

Mariah Carey-We Belong Together
Don't laugh. This song has been hot in the charts since it was released, and it was definetely a beautiful joint. Mariah has worked hard this year. Also this can be considered hip hop, cant it?

Sheek Louch, Fabolous, Beanie Sigel, Jadakiss-Kiss Ya Ass Goodbye (Remix)
Oh man this was a sick collabo of the year.

Damian Marley-Welcome To Jamrock

Young Jeezy Feat. Akon-Soul Survivor
Even though I dislike Jeezy's lyrics, this song was great. The video matched perfectly as well. This song might deserve It. It was hella dope.

Damian Marley Feat. Nas-Road To Zion
This was a killa song. I'm impressed.

Joe Budden-Dumb Out

The Game Featuring 50 Cent-Hate It or Love It
Ok even though I don't f**k with 50's music anymore, this was one addicted song. It was dope and I this was one of my favorite tracks off of Game's album, The Documentary. Y'all just have to agree with me.

What do you guys think?

My Humps gets on my nerves but that doesn't take away from the success. If anything, I think Testify (Common) or Lovin' It (Little Brother) should be the song of the year, but when awards are given out, its based on success and lasting impact.

From that list .. Hmm.. ( Golddigger isnt even on there.)

Im still thinking about other hiphop songs that should have made this list. Why would we laugh at We Belong Together anyway ? Isnt welcome to Jamrock raggae ?

Well, im going to have to go with Mariah Carey (isnt she R&B?) cos that song meant a lot to me in 05 for many reasons.

Out of the list, five are extremely well done and have some damn good messages. Whats so horrible about them?

Is there anything that you don't hate?

I didn't know Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys and MJB were hiphop artists. Thank you for enlightening me.

As for my personal favorite song of the year, I'd have to go with Lovin' It by Little Brother (f/ Joe Scudda)

It's actually dancehall. It started in Jamaica in the 70's. DJ's would "toast" over pre-recorded tracks. Early rap was an Americanized version of toasting. Jamrock gets my vote! showoff.gif
