i downloaded a layout from here. but my display name in the headline box is hidden somehow. how do i get it to show? if someone wants to look at my code, the url for my myspace is http://www.myspace.com/glowpop

Wherever your stlyesheet is look for this
CODE .nametext {font-family: arial; font-size: 10px; color: fff; letter-spacing: 2px; font-style:italic; text-align: right; background-color: 000;text-transform: uppercase; border: none;letter-spacing: 2px; } and change it to CODE .nametext {font-family: arial; font-size: 10px; color: fff; letter-spacing: 2px; font-style:italic; text-align: right; background-color: 000;text-transform: uppercase; border: none;letter-spacing: 2px; } If it still doesn't show in the code i told change the "fff" to another color. |

what was different in the second code you gave me? i put it in my page, and even changed the fff to another color...but it put the name text in a black rectangular box. i even changed the background color in the code but no change. any idea why?

Whoever made the layout forgot to edit the settings.. The difference is the one you originally had hides it and teh second shows it.
CODE .nametext {font-family: arial; font-size: 10px; color: fff; letter-spacing: 2px; font-style:italic; text-align: right; background-color: transparent;text-transform: uppercase; border: none;letter-spacing: 2px; } try that it should take away the black background. |

thanks. but in this process, somehow I changed the dates on my friends comments to a white background? it used to be white text on black. now its white on white. any idea how I can change it back?

^ Click the name box.. it should be above headline Its kinda blue. Directly under your navigation links.. the top ones home...search .. browse w/e those are.
