Hell yes, it did. But it didn't dramatically changed, it just dramatically broadened. I don't stick to one genre, like I used to. I tend to wander off. Check my playlist for yourself, I have Earth, Wind & Fire next to Edwin McCain, and I have Lauren Hill next to Lifehouse. Hahah, I must say, I'm a music junkie.

I grew up with Pop music all around me cause ever since I was 4, I had access to MTV. So I had the liberty to chose my own music. I also grew up around Kenny G and Earth Wind & Fire. But my only source for music back then was the radio and TV... so most of what I ever listened to was pop. ;P

^ Agreed. My tastes haven't necessarily changed, they've grown to encompass a lot of other types of music as well as what I already liked.

I grew up on funk, soul and reggae music. My dad raised my brother and me with Earth Wind & Fire, Bob Marley and the Wailers, and Parliament. I knew all the words to "Tear the Roof off the Sucker" before I had fully mastered my ABC's.

It wasn't until junior high that I fell in love with rock music, but I never stopped listening to the stuff I grew up on.

I grew up with classic soul and funk. As I got older, I discovered hiphop. When I began to play the piano, jazz music stole my heart. And thats how its been. Truth.

I've grown up on the pop classics that made Cantonese music famous throughout the 80's/90's. I listened to Jacky Cheung, Leon Lai, Aaron Kwok, Andy Lau, Anita Mui, Leslie Cheung, and some other people. I didn't know how to read Chinese or even speak it too well, but I was able to sing all these songs and dance along with them too. =p

As I grew older, I listened to English pop...then a change to rock music and R&B. Now, I mostly listen to some select English music and lots of Hong Kong and Korean pop.

I grew up with the radio mostly. my mother was always trying to keep up with what was popular on the radio, especially to songs that she can sing to. I still love those songs. The oldies are great. I just think that I have an open mind when it comes to music.
Oh but there are two types of genre that I'm not comfortable with: Religious and Reggae. I don't know why, but sometimes they creep me out.
