stuff is disappearing? Options

so i wanted to get rid of my extended netowork/blog boxes, and i put this code in there:

and, um, it got rid of them, and i wanted my 'about me' to move up too, so i put a code in there, and it didn't work, and i decided to just not worry about all that stuff, so i went to go get rid of those codes, and i couldn't remember which code it was, so i got rid of some other codes i had, piece by piece, and i couldn't find the extended network/blog codes. so i put everything back, and some of the stuff is gone that disappeared when i put the first code in the first place.

^ and i just realized that whole thing is one sentence. yikes. but anywyas.

like, above the friends' pictures, there was "courtney has NO friends. but she does have a few friendly acquaintances." and it's gone now? and the about me/whom i'd like to meet were inside boxes, and there are no borders there now.

let me just sum it all up.

at first i wanted to get rid of my 'extended network/blog boxes'.
then stuff got complicated so i changed my mind.
but now that i try getting rid of those codes, they don't work.
and stuff is disappearing.
