hi . my internet is connected and everything. it even says connected under the network connections. but i keep getting this dns error. earlier when i was about to make this topic i checked just in case and internet worked perfectly fine . . but then couple minutes later it stopped working again. omg . -.- help. no internet means no xbox live :( btw i'm posting on my phone that's how i'm here.

High speed or dial up? Do you run a router and all that? and who is your ISP (Verizon or what?)

comcast high speed internet. yes i'm using a router

Linksys?

Try going to http://192.168.1.1 (I think the user/password is "admin")

Check to make sure those settings are correct... that's really the only advice I have for now. Also, it might not be the router, try to disable and restart your adapter utility (Should be in your icon tray).

I think netgear routers are 192.168.1.2 or something like that.

Netgear routers are normally 192.168.0.1.

Reset your router, there should be a little like pinhole deal, it should say RESET or be red. Stick a paperclip or something in it and then the router will reboot. You will loose any configuration to the router after that.

That should if your problem.
