Metal Gear Solid I & II tackled infiltrating military bases. Metal Gear Solid III tackled jungle warfare. Now with Metal Gear Solid IV, they're working on Urban Warfare.

I have saw the game trailer for this and I heard its coming out for the PS3.. anyways I checked out the game trailer and it seems that Solid Snake has aged a bit... Not quite sure if its Big Boss aged... But then if you look closely the graphics are awesome.. and from Hideo's saying the trailer graphics is the graphics you get throughout the whole game and not just some CLIPS with the awesome graphics

^ It's an aged Solid Snake. It takes place 10 Years after the Big Shell incident. I believe in this game, it's going to be about Snake in search of the Patriots.

Snake is getting old. But he still rocks. Cannot wait for this game.
If the big metal thing is the new metal gear they defiantly went back to the old look. |

Really? Cause I vaguely remember, but at the end Snake and Ocelot discussing who the patriots were and Ocelot had said they were all dead.

^ They weren't, they're really hiding somewhere. The explained some other time during the game, not during the end. You have to listen to all the Codec messages and look through all the cut-scene movies.

wow... Wikipedia really does have everything...
Anyway, does anyone know of a .mov version of this, windows media player for mac is nothing great and the motion / audio are not together in the middle.

On a side not.
Metal Gear Solid 3:Subsistance will have the original game in it's fully intact original version in all of it's original glory, PLUS the new features. Right? Because I missed out on the game last year, and I decided to get this one. As a Metal Gear fan, I want to play the Original version first. And then, play the modified with all the bonuses. |

xnofearx, high five! I'm waiting for MGS4 like no other as well!! MGS4 and RE5 that is. It's gonna be amazing, I have full confidence because Hideo Kojima is a genius.
The trailer looked awesome too. And to be honest, I was waiting for MGS to go back to the modern era and continue where MGS2 left off. So I'm definitely excited and can't wait to see more of this. But right now, I'm playing MGS3: Subsistance online... trying to find Hideo (he plays it too) so I can cap his ass and make him my bitch. |

Yeah, no prob Eddie.
What was your favorite MGS? Mine was MGS1, even though I LOVED all 3 of them. MGS1 had a certain style and feeling that was different from the newer ones. |

I didn't hear anything about the Patriots being still alive during MGS2 but even when the game ended with the "... They died 100 years ago." I had doubts that they were actually dead.
But did anyone realize how young Otacon still looked in the Trailer? Now why do you think Snake is so old while Otacon is still pretty young? I think it's because of the cloning thing. Snake, Liquid and Solidus are all clones of Big Boss correct? And didn't Solidus say something about a short life span? Guess Snake isn't gonna be with us for much longer. Also I was laughing when they used the MGS4 trailer as publicity for the PS3. If you listen closely to the end of the trailer, otacon is actually talking about the PS3 and MGS4. PS: The ending for MGS3 was awesome. I mean when you think it's over... It gets up and continues coming at you! I loved the ending. When I played MGS1 and 2, it made it seem as though Big Boss was a bad guy, now after playing as Big Boss in MGS3, I'm starting to like him more than Snake! Lol and why is it that Solidus and Snake look like Big Boss, but Liquid comes out of nowhere with long blonde hair and an accent (a cool one though)?! Wasn't there a game called Metal Gear Solid: Liquid??? |

I also like 3's ending because I don't know, Boss died a true patriot and a hero, and no one will ever know about it. Made me tear. One was alright but I think it was too long to actually be a storyline. |

I liked 2 a lot but 1 was better. Come on, what kind of boss was that guy who ran around putting bombs everywhere?

I liked both too. But can someone answer my question? So I can pick it up when it comes out, and decide which of the 3 is my favorite? Also, I know most people hate Rayden. I don't know anything about the new Subsistence, but I'm sure it will have the entire original game intact. Substance did so I don't see why the new Subsistence shouldn't...
