i'm pretty sure a topic hasn't been made on this before. whistling.gif

anyhow, don't you feel guilty at times when parents ask you "what do you want for christmas?"

and, you don't want to tell them all the things you want because it'll make you feel like a selfish little brat.

No. I don't think my parents have ever asked me what I wanted for Christmas. Yeah, no, they haven't.

well for me, i feel terrible when my mom is always out shopping for me and my sis, cuz she is a single parent and she works her butt off everyday just to get us things that we want and need.

i kno that she doesn't have much money, then when she askes me what i want i just say idk...then she ends up buying me things i never knew i would get. :)

Not really. My parents have never asked what I want for anything let alone Christmas, a holiday I don't celebrate.

my parents always ask me and i say the same thing "i don't know." i don't want them to buy me anything, i don't want them to waste money on me. i don't need a cell phone that like does everything or a psp or some other newfangled device.

it upsets me that they waste their money on me. i feel guilty receiving gifts from them. they got me an ipod before and i never asked for it at all nor did i even look at pictures of any. i felt so guilty because my grades could be a lot better and i could be a much better daughter...but i'm just not.

I used to feel like that when I was little, but now I am older and don't need to ask for bigger and better things. Now I like everything I get.

Honestly, I do. My mom asked me what I want for Christmas, and I was like "I don't know. I don't even care." I don't expect to get anything expensive from them. The only thing I want them to give me is love (Oh how I long for one) and joy (I've had a lot of joyous events in my life, but not as many as the joy my parents give to moi.)

I dunno, if they ask me, I usually say something like "a sketchbook" or "a new cd" cause I know its cheap and I don't have to say "I don't know".

My mom never really asks me what I want for Christmas, cause she always gives me money and I always want that.
When my dad asked me I told him I wanted money, couldn't think of anything else I really wanted.

I've never felt guilt, especially this year. Finanically things are tight but we (me and my sibs) kept what we want for christmas to a minimum.

I feel spoiled and selfish whe they ask me for christmas gifts but for my motivation for telling them is that if I dont tell them, then ill get something that I dont want

I do feel very guilty because they often end up saying that the money used to buy me (and my siblings) Christmas gifts can go to those less fortunate. I always feel so selfish.. cry.gif
