You.. don't.
I think so. But there's no real reason to. If you just make a layer, and stick all your little paths inside it, then you can just collapse that layer and it will appear sort of "merged" in the layer palette. People only merge stuff to save space, right? Well. Space. Yeah. And you can lock it, if you're trying to get the paths out of the way... What else.. Durrr. Well, if you really want it to become rasterized.. which I don't think you do, then you can export it into photoshop and back. But. I don't think so. Blaaaagh. Basically, Illustrator doesn't want you to merge layers. They should always be together and happy! Unless you want to merge paths.. Then that'd be pathfinder. Mmmhmm. |
