Okay, I was bored, until I saw Kristina's vector. The hair was extraordinary. So I wanted to make another vector that I can play with a little bit, because Kristina, again, influenced me to do so, even though I have tons of homework to do. And I was thinking I need to keep my pictures PG since my parents are ALWAYS behind me. Anywho, I thought of Pope John Paul II. Here we go:

Here was the original picture:

Here are the not-yet-finished version; the second one is with transparency (Which I hope you can see the background of this forum for IE users):

And here is the finale:

Yeah, I'm not that good as of to compare with Kristina or Heather or Moorpocket. So give me some suggestions, so I can work with it. If you are wondering, I made this in 2 days. I have tons of homework, duh?

Oooh it's a good start! Try to play with more layers as you progress. This is definitely a good start! Better than what I can do! flowers.gif I really like how you did the face! :D

Although, perhaps more simpler picture might be better -- the one you chose looks kinda complicated =X

^ Haha. The only thing I'm aming for was his dress. It was easy, so. His head was a little bit hard, defining his skin color. Ergh.

Yeah, I'm trying to learn that. LOL. But the only problem is, as what I posted earlier, I'm having trouble defining his skin color from lightest to darkest. Hurr. x.x

Interesting picture to use.
I think it's wonderful, and I like how you did his belt...thing.
Though I think you gave him a bit more hair than he has.

I don't think i've ever seen a vexel of the Pope before. lol
But you did a nice job with this :) Especially with it being your second try! Keep practicing! I suggest you just add more life and depth to it.
Use more layers, really go for it, you know?
