Are you in one - if so which one and where? Do you know anybody that is? What are your thoughts on gangs (in general and specific ones)? I'm DB Latin King from Astoria, New York, just so you know. I made this topic because some people talk a lot of shit about gangs, whereas most of it isn't true.

At my old school, kids used to pretend to be crips and bloodz. They would literally wear blue/ and/ or/ red every day and get in fights. It was amusing. |

I'm in a motorcycle gang. Yeah, I was inspired by the film Akira. There's this scene where a biker dude pulls up to this one chick, rips her shirt off, and sucker-punches her in the face. Yeah, right in the face. After I saw that, I knew I had to join a biker gang. So I went to the gym and worked out a lot, and now I'm head of a motorcycle gang. We basically drive around and terrorize neighborhoods and rip shirts off of people and punch them in the face--that is, when I'm not too busy with my streetracing gang.

Conversely, I've grown up in areas of gang influence, seen people get shot, been shot at, etc, etc. It isn't fun. But put into perspective, petty street gangs are on the bottom in the crime hierarchy. Instead of reppin' ya hood or throwin' up a set, improve the very hood you're destroying. |

No real gangs that I know of where I live.
The closest thing to a gang was a 2 person "gang" who called themselves the Purple Slushies. They went around "gaining turf" around the "'hood" and "shot" people with air soft guns. Wankstas |

theres a gang in our town that was compose of rich guys... there popular for their great fire power (guns).... but the gang broke up bcuz of a conflict from their founder...

When I lived in Cali there were a lot of gangs. One of my best friends got gunned down when he opened his front door. Yeah, I'm glad I don't live there any more.

Uhm, yeah. Like I stated before, Chicago is a big gang capital. Vice Lords in my school is the biggest gang among us hispanics. And of course a big number of my friends being hispanic, we used to kick it with 'em. Back in Freshman and Sophomore year I used to be really into it. Junior year came around and I started realizing it was stupid. Now me being a senior, I really think it's stupid. But still, the past can come and haunt you. The Vice Lords rival gangs are the Latin Kings and Gangster Discples/Gangster 2-6, well, still once in a while they come talking their shit, I tell 'em I don't need to be in a gang to scrap. I run solo, and solo I'll take 'em down....

My school has "gangs". The Pink Panthers and the Purple Phantoms. From the "hard streets" of Old Field (one of the richest areas on Long Island). They are so dumb.
There is also Big Gorilla Army. But they are all huge and all illegal so no one messes with them. Even though their gang color is neon pink. |
