Quick question, what happen to the akamaistream url's? They all don't work no more? Where do these akamai streams come from? Is it yahoo? Could someone point me to where they come from, I want to see if I can get the stream url's from it.

I know that akamai hosts the files, but the person paying for the host is always unknown.

I notice all the akamai streak url's like www.musicgalore.net are down and pretty much every other website as well.

anyone know the new URL and how to get the URLs?

Akamai is a company that streams media to people on the internet... you can learn about it here: http://www.akamai.com/en/html/business/media_delivery.html.

I think companies pay for them to stream the data, so in order to find links I believe you must find a site of a company that pays for them to stream their media.

Thanks

I notice sites like musicgalore.net have these stream URL's. I know for sure that they didn't pay for no akaimia stream. I mean that cost tons of money. Where do sites like musicgalore get these URL's.

Since they seem not to be working at anymore. I assumned that they were from some music site that uses astream, like possible yahoo?

Anyone know the new URL's to the akamiastreams?

The companies may pay for akamai, but you're right, the sites don't. They find the links on the paying sites and offer them for you to use. If they no longer work, then akamai is probably cracking down on direct linking. It's happened before. You'll have to search for the new URLs yourself. Or, you can use a music search engine and find the songs you seek.
