for the first one.
you take the rectangular marquee tool and make a box where you want it to be,if so where you want your text to be,then edit the opacity to make it a ligther color for the second one,check the tutorials section [http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=40257] |

1. see the layer palette (if its not open right click in the lightish grey space next to all the icons up the top and click layer palette)
2. select appropriate layer 3. move the opacity bar left and right until you're happy. hope this helps. kitty |
