Adding comment field to div layout? Impossible? Options

What I'm trying to do here is add a place where people can view the comments left for me in a scroll box under the "background noise" image I have, in that left-hand side column. Is this possible with all the div tags I have set up? I've searched through the entire forum and nothing I've tried seems to have worked, so if you guys can take a look and give me some feedback, I'd greatly appreciate it.

if you've tried the code/link that's been posted many, many times by myself and others [link] and that didn't work, it may be because you have something[s] like "<div style="display: none;">" that might be causing the problem..
