So do you talk in correct puncuation/grammar/spelling and all that jazz while IMing people on AIM, MSN, Yahoo whatever?

And the topic title does have some relevance because I am eating cheezits right now but that's a whole nother story.

I don't mind the odd one or two words shortened or w.e but nearly every word makes it hard t read x.x also where I live, idk about any of you b.c I think most of you live in usa but they talk like this:
aye an its awe hard tae read coz there awe wee neds u no? nd they tlk like this awe the time nd it takes me pure ages tae read it aye. lol they're awe wee stupid ppl anyway. int a evil?

lmao it's like WHAT??? TALK ENGLISH FOR GODS SAKE!
omg and when they talk in capitals and you tell them they're shouting and they go:
naw am no, how um a showtin?
gah grrrr i wanna move to a place where people acctually talk real english. I wonder if it's the same in other languages too...?

Most of the time. I don't type with perfect punctuation (ie; I don't capitalize unless necessary), but I stick to proper grammar and spelling and stuff.

Same here. I don't capitalize and I only use apstrophes if it's "we'll" or "she'll" or "he'll" or something like that but other than that, I use (mostly) correct grammar and spelling.

Yes, I do. I don't capitalize the beginnings of my sentences and don't always put a period at the end, though...I'm too lazy and I've developed the habit of not doing it. It makes me feel as though the conversation is more casual, sort of.

Mostly I do, unless I'm lazy. And I ALWAYS instantly correct my errors (typos) lol.

I do type in shorthand since it's more convient, depending on what I'm saying. Since it's not a definite yes or a definite no, I abstain from voting. :]

I usually use correct grammar and whatnot. I was never good on capitalization, though. I sometimes shorten words.

i actually type like this on AIM, except i don't use punctuation. i do use quotations though, when i'm repeating what someone actually said or when i'm mocking someone.

heh...i type like this because i think that full words look much better than slang...that's why i always write in complete sentences in school and stuff...

I won't shorten words and I always use good grammar and spelling and such, but come to think of it, I rarely use punctuation on aim. Like ! and ?, but not a . at the end.

pretty much cept for lack of apostrophes =\ so when i type youre it becomes your and their/theyre...and i have to stop doing that b/c its affecting my ability to tell apart homonyms..which will be harmful in a college essay >.< or any essay for that matter

Yes, I do.

(As a side note, it's amusing to see that most people who answered "yes" in this thread didn't even answer "yes" using correct grammar and punctuation. _smile.gif )
