All and Ipod needs is a computer equipped with Apple Itunes, and a USB port. I doubt it takes very much processing power.

From the Apple Site -

Mac system requirements
Macintosh computer with USB port (USB 2.0 recommended)
Mac OS X v10.3.9 or later
Windows system requirements
PC with USB port or card (USB 2.0 recommended)
Windows 2000 with Service Pack 4 or later, or Windows XP Home or Professional with Service Pack 2 or later

Your computer should have it.
Basically you plug one end of the USB cable onto your iPod and the other into your computer.

This is what the average Pc's USB ports look like. you should have at least two.
(they are the rectangular white ports)

^^like that- its on the bottom right in this picture. below the one where it says memory stick, it says USB and has a cord like picture that has 3 branches* On this pc it has one, but usually should have more than 2 or more -depending on your computer.

it's supposed to be on your pc. various could be in the front or the back. My computer has some on the back of the PC & 4 in the front..it should have it...it's black and has skinny slot
