ok, so i've heard that the way your parents look is the way your gonna look in the future. i remeber in P.E. in 7th grade we were talking about our body weight and excercise and stuff and how we would end up lookin like out parents in the future, like with the same body weight and stuFF. soo is that true? well i kno its not true, cuz i could just stay in shape or w/e, but do you think its true?

I don't think body type really palys a big part in this.

I mean, a parent could have you, then go on an anorexic/eating rampage. Byt the time you grow up they could be stick thin or humongously fat, but that doesn't mean that's how you'll turn out.

actually if i had to say. i dont think i'd want my husband to be quite like my dad. my dad seems like he pays more attention to work then he does us sometimes. but not all the time. and my mom,well.. my mom isnt the thinnest person in the world, i mean i love her but i don't know if i'd want to look like my mom in the future. however my parents do have pretty successful jobs.

Looking like your parents is not always the turnout for everyone. For instance- Just because a boy's father is bald, doesn't mean he automatically inherits the trait for baldness. It all depends on which genes you get from which parent.

do you believe everything you hear? there is no way you can be the exact body weight of a parent. well, without reasonable cause and there is no way you can look EXACTLY like one of your parents. you have traits from both.

im already the tallest one in my family, including cousins, aunts, dad, grandparents, but not uncles and im only 5'6. haha. so i already beat out my dad (my mom died so i dont remmeber how tall she was) and ive got a slim figure with a fast matabolism. my dad on the other side is skinny but eats a lot so hes got a tummy. i think hes around 5'5 maybe 5'6ish 160 lbs and im 5'6 97 lbs. plus, in 2 years, ill be 18 so im pretty much almost full grown.

This is true to an extent, but if your parents drink, and you choose not to, you will notice a large gap of difference in your body types. Drugs, diet, and physical activity all help as factors in determining the way you will look as you age. It is however, mostly genetics.

It's weird because I'm just as short as my father (well, I'm 5'0 and he's 4'11 so it's close), so I'm hoping to grow a little taller soon lol. I fear growing up and looking like my parents, so I'll take care of myself, body-wise.

My mother labored a lot when she was young in order to survive (she lived in Vietnam). Also, she's been toiling and laboring every day, so she hasn't been taking care of herself. Man I wish I could help but I don't know how to cook or do certain things that she only knows how to do. :/

She ain't even half of me. She's tall, 5'10, but i still think i'm going to be taller than her. She has dark dark redalmostbrown hair, and it's really curly. More than mine. She also alot of orange and brown freckles, and freakishly pale skin. Our biggest difference is that she's a really big woman and I'm really thin O_O.
And my dad, err, we don't look that much alike. We both have blue eyes but thats about it. His hair is dark brown, and he's pretty short for a guy (5'8, an inch taller than me. Bwahaha ;x).
