Does your school run any sort of scheme where students form their own business? Mine participates in the national Young Enterprise association, and this year im Managing Director of The Company

so... is anyone else involved in asomething like this?

if so... what does your company do/sell?

The MGMT 101 curriculum includes this sort of thing at my school, but I'm not a business management student, so I've never done it. My roommate did it last year. Something about t-shirts. Other companies sell things like mugs or keychains or hoodies.

We have one that is starting around Christmas time so I'll update it after it starts. From what I hear though, we are going to market and sell pens. Sounds fun, doesn't it?

yeah, i think thats all we have. we have a market that is open during lunch that sells candy and the like. the lunch ladies dont like it because more people by from them instead of from the school.

im not sure we really have what you have james, but i could be wrong and just not know about it.

My school has DECA and we also have something called BPA (Business Professionals of America). I was in BPA last year. I think that DECA is more of the business role-playing type things and BPA focuses on its individual groups and competitions. BPA includes all business areas so it would be hard to include everybody in everything (example: Accounting, Web Page Design, Business Management). Both clubs include area, state, and national competitions. Last year, I was working with the Web Page Design team but since I had to go on a church retreat the weekend of the first competition, I wasn't allowed to compete in any others. The Web Page Design team went on to place first at nationals.
