do you think haveing just 1 best friend is better than having tons of frieNds?
i've always wondered about this, because most ppl always talk about how many frienDs they have, but i think it would be better to have atleast a couple of BEST FrienDs that you kno are reAlly ur friEnds.

i think best friends r more important cuz u can have 100 friends then 1 day they will turn around nd hate u..bt ur best friends will allways b there no matter wut

best friends are like siblings...not matter what happens they are always there through thick and thin...friends can be like boyfriends, they can play you...and they come a dime a dozen.

That's your choice, to have one bestfriend or more. But bestfriends are unique. There more then your friend, they take the time and patience to understand you, they support you and love you 100%. You can have more than one bestfriend, its your choice, but there really different then your normal friends.
And to answer your question, I rather have one bestfriend than 1,000 friends that I only see in school, and know nothing about me. |

One best friend is better than having a million friends. Being a best friend is a special title I think and to be a best friend entails more than just being a friend. I think a best friend would ALWAYS be there vs a friend who would be there most of the time. I've had much experience with this.

see, I don't know, becuz how do you know when someone is really your 'best friend'? it could be like, you think you have a best friend, but really you just have 1 friend.

^Yes, it is always difficult to fully KNOW if someone is your best friend or even your friend. Why? It's a two way road; a relationship. It's hard to know the intentions and thoughts of another person. It's different from knowing a fact or knowing how to do something. I could go on and on. I wrote a paper about this in fact.
HOWEVER, I believe if you make someone 'worthy' of having the title of best friend, that means you have trust in that they consider you a best friend as well or think of you as highly. Something very different than a friend because that trust doesn't necessarily have to be there. That's why being a best friend is on another level. |

I think that it's best to have a few good friends. You don't need any one best friend (although sometimes that can be good) but for me... Well, the closest thing I have to a best friend is my boyfriend, maybe. I have some extremely good friends who I know have always been there for me and probably always will. I think that's important. I also think that sometimes you need more help than any one person can provide, so perhaps it's not wise to rely on having just one really really good friend.
Also, research shows that people who spend more time socialising have less mental health issues. This implies that its good to have at least a few friends who you can spend a lot of time with. It's interesting really. I'm the best friend of a few people I think, but I don't consider myself really to have a 'best' friend because I love ALL of my friends so dearly. Maybe I just have a few 'best friends' :) |

A best friend is always the best.
I don't know... Well for me, one is the best. I used to have 2 best friends, until those 2 starting doing things behind my back...but Friend 1 came back to me and told me everything, and friend 2 just denied everything till this day. Now friend 1 and i have a really strong connection...even though one of us is in Hong kong, the other is in Canada. off topic
