Ok well my parents are over protective and blah blah so everytime i take the phone i have to sneak it and my boi and me be talkin' on the phone late and it's scary b/c if i get caught i'll be in so much troubllleeeeee yea!
ok well i was talkin' with one of my friends and he was sayin' that u can just get a cellphone but it's a line that u don't have a bill u just get a card and it has minutes and something and it's free after nine and things but i don't get it... he says... 1. get a fone from any service u want 2. when u bought it they will activate a line for u 3. then buy a card minute to put in your fone 4. then talk all u want but i don't get it... so can u really do this??? if u can can someone explain to me... b/c i would be soooo happy if u really can do this! |

Yeah Virgin Mobile offers a pretty good prepaid service. You buy a phone and phone card and talk. Go here for some info www.virginmobileusa.com

yeah, its the new thing where you dont have a monthly contract. you dont have to just pay with a credit card though...you can usually by minutes at walmart depending on the company.

you gotta fill up a contract and stuff but i think u gotta be 18+ to do that ya need a credit card and also the sim card (the card that they put in cell phone) is about 40 $ buying a regular phone with out a deal or something is about 300$ so its going to be hard =X |

Yeah,
a lot of phone companies are doing it. T-Mobile, Cingular, Virgin Mobile. Go to any mall and you can find some. They have some at Walmart/Target too. I used to have a T-Mobile To Go phone. It's their prepaid thingie. I think it's a ripoff and if you spend a lot of time talking on the phone, you're going to waste a lot of money. And I mean a lot. |

TracFone is probably the easiest. You can the cheapest phone for like $20 now and it's easy. 1 minute = 1 unit. It tells you how many units you have and when you need to buy more units. A 20 minute card is around $18. Like some people have said, it'd be easier to talk in person, but yeah.

yeah...that prepaid stuff is really expensive. get a friend who's 18+ to get you a phone with a plan. or tell your parents to get you a cell phone, i don't know too much about what you do but you can tell that to get you one in case of emergencies or if you stay out late or something.
