Well what does it exactly mean this word 'Emo'. Everyone in my school say now they are emo and act all cool and stuff. So what does the word really mean?

It's short for "emotive hardcore" or "emotional hardcore" (as in hardcore punk).
Not to self-promote, but I wrote a brief history of emo a while back. |

well . . . this questions has been answered, and i know theres been about 3 others topics asking the same thing, but they are impossible to find because emo is only a three-letter word ~_~ so what can ya do?
