Okay, this has happened once before. About... oh probably five or six months ago, I went to start up my FireFox, and this window came up... something about the user profile or something. It had "default" as the only option. I clicked it and it said that it was already in use. I couldn't start it up until I made a new profile, and I did. Lost all of my bookmarks, cookies, settings... you name it.
Well, about a half hour ago, it did it AGAIN. It had two on there, "default" and "new". New was the one that I had created last time, and it was "in use." So I had to go back to default. Now I'm stuck with the settings I had months and months ago. Do you know if there is any way I can just FIND that screen again so I can try and change this? |

Double post, but nobody goes in here to realize to close this anyway... at least, not really often.
I got it fixed and found the most awesome site to help with FF: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_%28Firefox%29 |

oh, that happened to me a few months ago. I seriously cried when everything was lost..all of my bookmarks, everything. I searched, and searched everywhere for them on my computer, and finally just had to do a 'system restore' to get them back.
I've been on that site before, helped me figure out how to get my quicktime and WMP plugins to work. I'm going to look around it a bit later, though..I'm lazy, heh. |
