Sorry, I didn't know where to post this, but I thought this would be the right place. I bought Sims 2 Nightlife awhile ago, installed everything, and have been playing for like a month. Then a couple weeks ago I got this

QUOTE
Failed to find any DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapters in this system! Please make
sure you have a DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapter and have installed the latest
drivers provided by the manufacturer. The application will now terminate.

Now I can't play anymore. What do I do? =/

Make sure your graphics card did not break, or get uninstalled somehow. The message seems to be pointing to the fact the Direct X 9 cannot find a usable graphics card, not that you need direct X 9.

Something like this happened with my and my old Sims. I'm not sure if it will work with yours.

Start > Run > dxdiag > display > directdraw acceleration > click enable/disable. not sure what yours is on but just click on it.

if that doesn't work, then reclick it and it'll be back.
