I REaD THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK AND HES A FUKIN IDIOT MAN!racist man.i can see how frightening it must be for them to hide in the secret annex.i read the part where they heard a crash and they all panicked.and it was a burgler.....it must be hard for them hiding for 25 months.i dont know how.do you guys know who tattled on them or how they found out?my english teacher said the burglaer tattled and the biography,i heard it said a worker downstairs couldnt take it so he/she tattled.then they got sent to the concentration camp which was the most frightening part of the story.in the end,they all die except annes dad and miep and annes two best friends and her boyfriend.she lost everything.her dad lost everyone but he had her diary.it said in the diary that her diary would one day be a novel so she work hard on it revising it.is it a novel today?of course.its plays too.the concentration camp.....my parents got sent there for almost 5 years.but in cambodia.they forced them to make rice or they kill them and do other things.but the nazis were terrible.they pushed thme into ditches and shot them.they chose the young and beautiful girls and made them shave all thier hair from bottom to top.then they had sex with some of them and kill them.they experiment with the jews.the had diseases and so many of them died.anne thought she lost everything when her mom and sister died but she saw her friend at the other side of the gate at her camp.when her sister margot died,anne died 2 days after.then the nazis buried the bodys so they could hide any evidence of what they did.I HATE HITLER NOW!OH MY GOD!I HATE HIM HATE HIM HATE HIM!and the stupid tattle!oh,this is a discussion about the events that happened back then and in the book.tee hee.sorry for the ingnorance too.i want my feelings to be strong.

most people have either read The Diary of Anne Frank or heard of it. besides, everyone knows the atrocities that took place in the Holocaust. its kind of obvious that Hitler was a horrible person.

I read the Diary of Anne Frank too, and I like it.

His name is "Adolf Hitler" not "Adolph Hitler."

He wasn't a great man but he was a brilliant man. Once you study him and learn about all of the things he did you will realize that he was very intelligent. The means of getting what he wanted is mostly what he is hated for. And no one should be hated, ever. Hate is strong.

It depends on how you define greatness.

I definitely think that Hitler is a great man (of course, this is my interpretation of the word) that put his greatness to cruel use. He was great because he was able to climb his way to the top, and when he was there, he manipulated millions of people to think the way he was thinking, he influenced and changed the lives of so many people. Of course, with the worst of intentions, but still a great man.

I'll let the topic live a little longer to see what else we can squeeze from it.

i've never read that book but jews weren't the only people that hitler slaughtered. quite frankly, my teacher said that more people from the ukraine were killed during the holocaust but no one cares because they were were poor.

hitler was "great" in his own way. the things he did was terrible, yes, but anne frank wasn't the only jew that hitler killed. and jews were not the only race he tried to exterminate either.

Without he's crazyness, we wouldn't have so many inventions and our technology wouldnt have advanced so much in a short little time.

But Hitler isn't the first person to Massacre people... just a while ago, they had genocides in Africa.

Sorry but Hitler was NOT half Jewish which is why I asked. It is supposed, assumed, that his grandparents could have possibly been Jewish but there is no real way to prove it. Besides that, even if 1/4 of him was Jewish he completely ignored that side of him and never once did he ever claim to be part of the 'ideal race'. It's not like he hated the possible part of him that was Jewish, it was just not acknowledged.

Yes but again, he never CLAIMED to be part of this 'ideal race'. He just saw that they were the 'supreme race' and wanted them to take over the world basically with him as their leader. He wouldn't have eventually killed himself. If anything, if he had succeeded he would have been very pleased.

i dont think that all the lives he's taken are worth the inventions and technology. we would have discovered them one way or another. and of course he's not the first person to massacre people, but you don't see us supporting the others, do you? there are plenty of protests against those genocides, too... but this topic was supposed to be directed towards hitler.

and i guess killing millions of people was just a "flaw" of hitler's. oh great. just like dropping a nuclear bomb in hiroshima(sp) was a "oopsydaisey". the next dictator who comes by and kills tons of people will probably be supported by someone like you saying "oh, he just has his flaws" and that "he's really improving technology though!!!! like we have totally new ways to perform horrible experiments on people and OMG i never knew we could kill people in so many different ways!!!! yay!!!"
