Okay, so im in my highschool play Aida. Its a story of love war and hate. Its a really good play, and if you actually pay attention to depth of situations , the story could make you cry. Have you ever been in or seen your school musicals or plays ? If you havent, i suggest you do.

Being in a play could actually be great . It does sometimes get tiring but i have so much fun and quickly made lots of new friends.

Aida Synopsis
Above is a URL for a summary of the play. I suggest you check it out, its a really GOOD play.

This is only 2 verse of an ACT 1 Scene 1 [ basically the first song in the play ] song that explains a little bit of the story.
QUOTE
This is the story
Of a love that flourished
In a time of hate

Of lovers no tyranny could separate
Love set into motion on the Nile's shore
Destiny ignited by an act of war

I was in a play for middle school.

Umm, I am trying out for the musical Pirates of the Panzan or something like that...

I have seen a few plays for my school, I am actually going Friday or Saturday to see the Crucible.

Yes, our school's latest production was Fame. It was soooo good! There were so many brilliant actors and actresses in it, I was amazed..it was the first one I attended, and it will certainly not be my last.

We just finished up doing the play "Harvey" last weekend. I'm so sad it's over, though. It was so much fun.
Last year, I was in a play called "Band Bang, You're Dead". It was about a school shooting.
And in 2 weeks I'm trying out for the musical "A Secret Garden".

Yeah, I'm a theatre geek cool.gif

Yep.

Two years ago (middle school) it was Honk. It was sort of like this story about the ugly duckling. My friend was lead actress :)

And there's this play November 10, 11, and 12th i think. First highschool play for me. It's called Pippin'.

I think there's a topic about this somewhere...
But anyways, I can't act or sing so I don't usually participate in any school plays or whatever. But, I want to do SING! this year, as part of a dance crew. I was part of the costume crew for SING! last year...
My school has put on several productions. This year, they did "A Chorus Line," going to do "Antigone." Last year, they had "Into The Woods," "A Raisin in the Sun," "Once Upon a Mattress" and more. They're actually really good.

We've always got the best plays.

Last year we did Cinderella and Kiss Me Kate. (I got into both shows, but I couldn't do them because I had a lot of scheduling and personal conflicts.)

This year it's A Christmas Carol and Little Shop of Horrors.

I'm SO trying out for Little Shop of Horrors. _smile.gif

My school did Les Mis last year. It was incredible. There was scene for the car crash when Valjean [ supposed to be old and fragile ] lifted the cart/car and the flashing lights made the speeding car and the people running and the screams and the car REAL. =0

Some of us should team up [ in a chat or something ] and collaborate on it, make a small play and post it as a topic on cB or something.

This year the school I'm at is doing Guys and Dolls.
I won't get a big part or even a medium part because I'm a freshman..... _dry.gif

I live in a small town too so it's not like our school has a big budget for a HUGE production either.

Oh, yeah, a few highlights have been Annie in Jr. High (I played Grace!), and in high school Peter Pan (complete with flying... but I was Tootles, so I didn't get to fly...), then The Laramie Project, which was really thought provoking and Delusion which was the world premire we also did Honk and Moby d**k-the Musical. Those are just a few, we generally do five or so plays a year.
