and he was like "jenny, you shouldn't look-- you should wait." so do you believe in waiting for that guy/girl to come to you, or do you look? |

I was reading something about dating myths and one of them pertained to people just waiting for the right person to come along. Well while your waiting for the right one , that special someone could be passing you by. Alot people my age (I'm 21), well at least some of my girlfriends, are looking for the one and I see nothing wrong with actively looking for a potential mate (sounds like the Discovery Channel). It becomes a problem with its like your life long quest. Like I have a friend that is engaged to this guy she doesnt love and its only with him for the sake of companionship . She doesnt like the thought being a single female so desperately looks for guys to leach off of. Its pathetic because I know many single females, and while some may not be content with single-dom, they keep a watchful eye for the right person and not just settling for something because its there. This turned out longer than I expected........

 I am just waiting for some one to come along, I got tired of looking for someone....I got lazy. I think that I will bump into that special person when the time is right and my life is right for someone else. fate always plays a big part in my life, so I will leave it up to fate .

As a teenager, I find it quite silly to be looking for Love. Not this silly little thing that will just be a stupid think in your mind..

I'm kinda doing both...I'm not so much looking anymore, because there's no guy that I don't know at my school...but I'm waiting in hopes that he'll show up and love me. <33 Won't happen anytime soon though, sadly.

I just sort of look for guys who fit the types of qualities that I kind of want but then I just wait. I mean, if it's the right guy, time will come right? So pretty much I just do a little of each, but more waiting.

I don't believe in the type of looking where the girl is desperate for a boyfriend...you know, where she gets 5 boyfriends in 2 months kinda thing. I think it's a bit ridiculous how some girls spend their time looking for the right boyfriend.
As for me, I'm more on the waiting side. I'm not saying that I haven't done the looking part; I have, and that relationship turned disastrous, so for now, I'm waiting for that one guy to come into my life. When he comes, I'll go looking for him. |
