A fire in your school!, wut would u do? |

ok at my school when the fire alarm goes off, the whole school walks out and we stand right next to the building. but i always wonder wut would happen if there was really a fire, wut would i do. i would first of all not be walking out of the classroom in a single file line. i would be pushing everyone out of the way to make sure i get out and my friends get outta there! i dont understand why my teachers try to make us get in a line to leave the building, then we stand exactly 2 feet away from the school! i mean, wut if the school blowws up, then we are all dead. i think that if there was a real fire in my school, my teachers wouldn't know wut to do!

my school wont be in a straight line walking out quietly  .the line thing is stupid, everyone knows that everyone will be panicking & yes it would be chaos  .ran. for. your. life. |

whenever we have fire drills, we walk out and stand (at least) 25 yards from the school so if there was an explosion or if the building was on fire, we would be safe. and if there really was a fire, i would probably just get out as i normally do. *shrug*

fire drills have no determining factors in what really would happen. people really dont take the seriously. id probably run my ass off because there a chemicals that the science teachers have that could make the whole building dissappear.
we had a fire drill the other day and then 30 minutes later it rang again and no one took it seriously. i heard that someone randomly pulled it though, but you never know. |

Agreed. We had shelter drills in my old school. I mean, what the f**k. I really don't think standing against the walls in the hall is going to stop a bomb from destroying the place. |

When I was in seventh grade one of my friends got so mad because she couldn't walk the line for graduation (she was in 8th grade) and she got a lighter and lit up a trash can..it was really small though. Somebody ended up pulling the fire alarm and like 3 fire trucks came.

We stand out on the field when there's a fire drill. It's about...100meters from the nearest building.
If there was a fire, I know alot of people would panic and stuff like that while the teachers and staff are trying to calm the students down. I think that's why they want us to practice going out quietly and calmly. It makes it worse when people panic. It's hard to gegt through to them.  I'd grab my backpack and I'm set to go. = ] |

if there really was a fire, a large majority of my school would die (including me... i'm on the highest floor).
during fire drills, it takes 30 minutes to get everyone out. |

actually when the fire alarm goes off, i probably wouldn't know if it was a real fire or just a drill unless there were obvious signs, such as screaming and smoke in the air. and i'd run for my life.

i had one in fourth grade im in 9th now well anyway there was this 4th grade teacher who had this stove in her class cuz she baked cookies and stuff for her students. her name was ms. burger lol. and so one day she left it on too long while she was in the bathroom and wen she came back all her kids were screaming and there was fire on the textbooks and stuff. i think the kids were dum cuz they didnt leave the room. i guess they just wanted to watch it or something..then this other teacher from next door comes in cuz she smells smoke and runs to my class and goes "theres a fire theres a fire!" and then we ran out and then the alarm went on. and then like 4 fire trucks came which we really didnt need maybe to save kids or something a few police cars. it was pretty weird.
