I like the colors, but I just don't like the banner.

I agree. The colors are pretty, content and organization are good, but the banner just doesn't seem to fit in. I think it's a bit understated. It needs more work.

Vertically, the banner image takes up a bit too much space--I'm on a pretty high-res monitor, and it still takes up at least 75% of the screen vertically.

I'm going to disagree, I really don't think it looks that bad.

I will offer some things that might help:

- Maybe only use two or three pictures of the girl so they don't run together and look cluttered?
- Also, it would look more like a layout if there wasn't a big margin between the header and the content. You could move the text up a little to make it fit in close to the image.

Don't give up! If you're happy, that's all that matters - just don't get frustrated. The image really DOES work as part of a layout.

Anyway, I know you said you weren't going to change it, but if you decide to work on it I think you could really make it look great. You've got a good start. :)

PS All the girls you find for your images always look so creepy! XD Sort of a natural beauty thing, but very creepy still. :P

Mess around with the top numbers, and it should make it go up. That code just messes around with the big table to the left that houses my blog.

The Footer Template has the code that messes with my table thats to the right where my crappy bio and other shtuff is.

I understand much more about wordpress now, after this change of layout.

Anyways.

I think it looks great, to me at least. The pics are a bit creepy, she has weird eyes and then a rather odd nose, which makes her face..interesting. [I'm bored]

Thank god you took the lasso to that image on the right, it looks better to me.

Ahh, I understand.. There's nothing wrong with your code at all, it's just that there's some empty green space at the bottom of the image. When you use tables, the content stretches the cell so the text in the next cell doesn't start until the very bottom of the image.

If you crop off some of the green space at the bottom and change your height to whatever your image height ends up being, it'll move the text up.
