push-button girl (cut me free)

i naievely thought i could change her
and without doubt i tried
i siad that i'd never leave her
but now there's just nothing inside

i met her last june in a corn tree
standing beneath the sun
i cut down the tree and now she's free
and into the sky now she can run, but

[chorus]
she's a push-button girl without a soul,
a push-button girl, empty and a hole
and if you beleive it, that was her
with a black stone heart beneath the door

i tried to help her, i really did
i did all that i could do
but now there's just no hope left for her
so please can you let me go

[chorus]

let me go! [x 4]

she's a push-button girl throughout her soul
a push-button girl, pretty and whole
and if you believe it, i brought her down
and now i'm joining as she drowns

i deserve these chains to her, so don't!

release me

yea, it's © 2005 to me, so don't even think about it.

.. corn... tree? mellow.gif
Uh. What is that?

The "flow" is a little kinky (in the sense that there are kinks), but I like the concept.

the flow problems are probbaly from places were it's supposed to pause. it's supposed to be a song.

yes, a corn tree.

I like it. I think it could make a good song. Do you have a melody for it?

Hm. I didn't really understand it since some of the lines threw me off. But it has a very laid-back Jack Johnson feel to it, which makes the song seem more relaxed and approachable.

errr... i had a melody for it when i wrote it, but i've since forgot it. being the musician i am, i could not sing the melody and therefore could not make a record of the melody, and i am tone deaf so can't write down the melody...

yea.
