usually on reality tv and of course on the MAURY show (who's yo baby's daddy?) they say the guy gets the girl pregnant, leaves her, then goes to the next girl. i dont know why tv makes it seem that way. its the girls fault too, if she gets hersekf pregnant.

Er, well, it's usually a guy's fault because well, if the woman's going on the show it means that she's keeping the baby. It's ALL her responsibility, whereas the guy goes off with some other woman and is totally irresponsible for something he also created. Very, very rarely does this happen vice versa.

you are right.... but its just stuck in eveyone's mind that tthats how the "system" works. so if everyon thinks that way... then so do the tvshow producers, and why would you go against your audience? however, both the man and woman take an equal share of responsibility. we shouldnt blame one with all the fault when you require two people to reproduce..

she was the one who agreed to get knocked up though. you have to think of it this way. sometimes they have to test up to 3 guys to see who the dad is... that means the guy isnt the only one that moves on.

well i can see how it would be stupid because if u end up taking care of your *girlfriend with YOUR baby* for like a year, then it turns out it isnt your kid.. but yet she blames you for stuff that makes no sense... this girl chose to get banged without protection.. her fault..

It is the girls fault she didn't take pills/make sure the guy had a condom on. If you were about to bang this hot bitch you think they (people who do end up on those shows) care? I would, thats why I'm never going on Maury.Dr. Phil/Jerry Springer.

I bet this is going to become a debate.

Well it's the guys fault he didn't put on the condom.
It's the girl's fault for not taking the pill and making sure the guy had the condom on.

Nyeh, it's both of their faults. If you guy decides to not take responsibilty for it, then it's the guy's fault.

I'm confusing myself.

I think you misunderstood me. Never did I mean that the woman has no responsibility for the baby, it's just that she is obligated to take care of it, and therefore her part of the responsibility is taken care of. The man, on the other hand, has equal responsibility for his child, but isn't helping out at all.

So...to put it more plainly:
BOTH parents have EQUAL responsibility
The shows make it seem like it's the guy's fault because he has NOT taken this responsiblity, whereas the woman HAS.

If it was the other way around, say, the man taking care of the baby and the woman running off, I'm positive the talk shows would put the woman at fault.

yeah of course it's partly the girl's fault, but the guy is the coward he's the one that's not taking responsibility, since all he does is breaks up with her and goes off with another girl. thinking by doing that he won't be responsible for anything anymore. leaving the girl to raise the child alone (assuming that she's keeping it)

yeah, it's true..she agreed to get knocked up

but you gotta bring up some points in here

shouldn't the boy have suggested protection? (even though the girl could've)

and besides, if a girl gets knocked up, she can't just leave just as easily as the guy can. They can only use abortion or keep it..and that takes a LOT of choice making and steps.

And besides, it's TV. TV uses typical choices. plus, it, for some reason, adds to the drama
