I have big lips. A bit bigger than Angelina Jolie's. And I'm white.
So, people see this as an oppportunity to make fun of me. I hate my lips.
My mom says that people would pay big for my kind of lips, but people in my school don't accept it. Everytime I talk to someone, and the subject is around lips, I tend to suck them in a bit, or alter their appearence somehow. I've been teased about them since I was in 6th grade and now its an insecurity of mine.

Plus, they are so large, that when I get older, people may think I had injections and may look at me like some whore because I'm white; and white girls almost ALWAYS have thin lips.

My mother said if I wanted to 'downsize' their look I should use lip liner and lipstick; but infact I HATE lipliner and I HATE lipstick. There are just disgusting to me.

Any helpful tips?

edit// I'm not being racist. I'm saying that I've observed alot of other caucasion (sp?) girls and they either have tiny lips or just a bit full. I've observed darker people and they almost always have thick lips.

as for the ppl at school i'm shure they're all jealous. haveing big lips is a MAJOR beauty perk. and ur mom is right, women would pay BIG BUCKS for your lips. think about it...ppl would actually kill for what you have! i'm white and i don't have small small lips, and i'm constantly looking for ways to make them bigger. angelina is known for her lips, and i can gurentee that guys will LUV those lips of urs. embrace them because not only are you stuck with them, but they will come in handy someday. don't suck in your lips, stick them out even more. wear lip gloss with pride and pucker up! i would stay away from the lip liner though, cuz liner just looks tacky without proper application. so remember: luv ur lips!

you're right, people don't like big ass lips. a majority of women don't ask for angelina jolie's lips when they're at the plastic surgeon, they ask for someone else...i forget who but the person has smaller, nicer lips than angelina jolie.

you can either do what your mother advises it to do, or get lip reduction. OR better yet, just deal with it.

In my opinion i think big lips are gorgeous. What your mother said about people paying to have lips like that, it's true. But think about that, they are paying to have their "thin" lips, into "big" lips. And you would do anything to have your "big" lips, turn into "thin" lips. Learn to accept your lips! lol. I know kids have made fun of you at school, but please just ignore them. It really is true that people bully others out of their own insecurities. if your lips are that big and it bothers you, there's really no way to change it at the moment. people at school are jerks and love to find ways to bring other people down just so that they feel superior. that's the way of life...everyone gets made fun of now and then. the only thing that matters is how YOU feel about yourself. the only thing can tell you is to make the best of it rather than bringing yourself down and feeling self conscious.
