I use to get a lil ticked off when people would say they loved each other within the first week of going out.
Now it's been about 3 months with my girlfriend, and i just told her i loved her. I was wondering how long do you think you'd have to know someone to love them? I've known her for almost 6 months and we've been talking for at least 2 hours+ on the phone a day. *I just want a girls opinion otherwise i'd post in relationships. :P |

I've never been in love before. Yeah, I used to say that word. But I still knew I didn't really mean it. =ingnorance.
I don'tt hink there's really a time limit to be able to recognize love..you just..know. I guess. Some people define it as the will to die for someone. I don't know. Some people convince themselves they are in love because they want it that bad..it's hard to tell. |

I really don't know, I tell all my friends I love them but its not the same. If it's that you would die for a person, I was in love before with a guy, once.
I don't think there really is a time fore you to be in love. It's just a feeling that we can't control. |

I've been in love before.
Yeah it is really annoying when people throw the word around. Love means more than just liking someone. It means you can't live without them, and the complete you in a way. You usually rarely stop thinking about them and they mean the world to you. When you see them you can't help but smile and get this warm fuzzy feeling inside. They make you happier than anything in the world, and you would do anything for them. I dont believe people can love someone from afar, i think in order for it to be true love, and not just obsession the feeling has to be returned. That's what I think love is. |

Yes, my friend gave me many lecutures based on Like and Love. It has totally two different meanings.. to me. I don't think many people should use *love* when your first going out because you dont even know if there is a possible chance of you guys lasting long. I've only went out with my boyfriend for 6 days, and I'm not sure whether to use *love* that fast. Love is a really powerful word that I barely use. Pretty sure, for loving our family and close ones. But~ I only say *love* when im sure i am in love with him. I don't know... I just wouldn't throw out the word *love* for no reason. Unless I truly and dearly love him.

sometimes you can instantly feel that the person is soulmate or it can take awhile to see who that person is really like |

Love isnt planned or pretensed in anyway.. it just happend.. Love is when you can't stop thinking about the other person, and every other thought concerns them. You are concerned with their well being so much that you forget your own. You need to hold on because you might lose your way being focused on her. Its when you see the other person and you just melt and when you kiss there is a fire that cannot be quenched.. it makes you warm inside even on the coldest of nights. Love will make you jealous , love will make you hurt, love is a many splendid thing. Take that however you want.

Wow, that really annoys me too. Like if someone goes out with someone for like, an hour and it's already "I love you so much, Bob" in their profile. I'm sure that's love. That just pisses me off so much. Like this kid I know, he's going out with this girl and he's all "I love you so much, ___" in his profile. They've been going out for like 2 weeks and I don't even think they've even hung out outside of school.
I hate when people throw that word around like it's something simple and just because you're going out with them, that it's love. I've never been in love. I think those words (I Love you) means a lot and it's something you should declare only if you feel it, and not because that's how much you idolized them. Did that make sense? |

I...don't really know. I believe the word love is thrown around too much, but you can't really time love. I guess if you really feel it, no one can tell you that you do or don't love anyone.

I have been going out with my boyfriend for 4 weeks, and one day.
He told me that he loved me like the first day. But to me, it didn't really seem like he said it too fast becuase I knew him for like a year, and have been best friends with him for that long. I told him that he loved me, and I told him that I loved him. I think that love is when you know that you can't live without someone. You think about that person all day, and you can never find yourself not thinking about them. When they are sad you ask them about a million times what is wrong if they don't tell you the first time. And you would do anything to make them feel better after you know what is wrong. You would kill to see them happy again, and smiling. You spend as much time with them that you could, and when you are with that person you feel like the happiest person on earth. You cant even imagine not having them in your life. Thats just some of the things. |

Hmmmm this is a hard question to answer. The person you love is the person that pushes your button the most, you know they make you think. Love is when your down when thier down, and when their happy you instantly become happy. Love is when you can't stare at anything but their eyes, and all you can think about is how you ever lived without them. It's when you almost feel like your gonna die when your not with them, but when you are all you want to do is hold them in your arms. It's when you hurt them you can't bear the pain and have to apologize immediatly. But it's also, the only person that can make you so angry that you love them for it. Thw way that you feel is unexpalinable. And everytime you see them your heart turns over and over. Thats love, at least for me.

That's the problem. No one knows what they have until they lose it. If you can;t stop thinking about her, then you're on the thin line of "lust" or "love".
It really depends on you. You shouldnt be worrying about this question until you are actually allowed to marry that person. |

I think there are many different types of love. Love can be percieved in many ways and I guess this is one of those questions that no-one really knows the answer to. Im learning about relationships in college and to be honest the "love" part is really confusing. With my ex b/f I can say that I was in love with him. I don't know how people can believe in love at first sight though.

nice feedback. i'm glad a lot of people get ticked off about people throwing that sacred four letter word around.
And, then there are cases in the gray area where they've known that person for a while, and in this sense i understand. I love my girlfriend. Everytime i havent seen her in a while(2 weeks) i get heartaches, a hollow feeling in my chest, and after i've seen her- i feel whole again. And, when i say it, its feel as if my heart added a piece to itself like a puzzle. yea.....i'm in love aha |
