Whenever I open my computer, I get a welcome screen where I have to choose the user account and there's only one administrator account since I haven't activated the guest account. For me, it's pretty annoying having to do that. I didn't have to do that before and it came up automatically one day. I tried going into User Accounts/Settings in Control Panel, but I couldn't change anything. Any way to get rid of it?

Oh, and I have Windows XP Home.

You mean the classic, enter user name and password screen right?
Well, for that you have to go to.
Control Panel>User Accounts>Change way users login/off. Unclick the "use welcome screen option." That should do it.

No, i'm not prompted to enter the username and password. I have to click the account I want to log in as. And I only have one, Mona (Administrator). Before when I opened my computer, it would go straight to my desktop.

Here are two sets of steps you can try to allow automatic logon:

I really really don't want to edit any registry keys, so forget the second link. Too bad I don't have TweakUI in this computer. The problem is that I don't know the exact username and password. My dad has forgotten them and I'm not sure if it's stored in the computer somewhere and where exactly it is.
