I've had people direct link a ton of things from my site, but I usually don't do anything about it.

I don't want to have to enable hotlink protection since I actually direct link images from my site all the time.

Anyway, I wanted to know if there's such a thing as a "hotlinking tracker" that tells you what site is direct linking your images and what image it is.

I recently noticed that I've been getting a lot of hits from a livejournal entry, but it's friends only, so I don't know what image they're linking. I'm just curious about what it is. lol

For hotlinking, you can disable only to places that you don't want.
Like you can put where you link images to on your "safe" list and then everything else will be blocked. Does that make sense?

Honestly, your best bet is to just turn off hotlinking on all of your main images, and those you want to hotlink, just create a new directory, and edit the htaccess so that only that directory can be hotlinked and only for certain sites.
