NE who, My boyfriend is muslim and hes doing that...it SUCKS!!!! I dont have a big problem with it buuuut i mean it scks when you cant even kiss your bf of 5 months >.< this is only the 3rd day...

I have never experience it because I'm buddhism.. but I know a lot of people who does believe in Ramdan and is fasting. It's a terrible thing to hear since you can't kiss/sex/curse/lie .. and blah. Sorry to hear.. it's okay ~ wink.gif

Hah, I agree... And, before you know it, a month will be over and you two will be able to kiss, etc again. Just hang out with him and talk a lot or something. This month will pass by quickly.

Ah, don't worry. If I'm not mistaken, Muslims only have to restrict themselves during the mornings and not the evenings.

Yep the Ramadan month really sucks. My boyfriend's Muslim too so for one month we can't do anything. Everytime we go out, we don't eat and we have to get home by around 6pm coz he has to go pray. Then around 7pm they "buka puasa" which means they eat. So yeah, basically since we go out a lot, I don't eat at all too. I mean how can you eat lunch in front of someone who can't until 7pm? We want to pierce our ears together too but we have to wait until next month. sad.gif

But hey, at least I get to lose some weight. happy.gif

Haha same here. Not only do I find myself fasting on Ramadan, I also stopped eating pork after we started living together.

Just had a question for those who have a muslim bf or anyone who knows. Do you give him a present at the beginning or end of Ramadan? Are you suposed to? What are appropiate presents?

I have a close friend who is Muslim, and she's doing that as well.
I wouldn't like it if I couldn't eat from sunrise to sunset.
Oh, and it's Ramadan. =)

I, of course, don't have a Muslim boyfriend, but to answer your question, no, I do not believe gifts are exchanged during Ramadan. It is a month of prayer and introspection regarding Islam, and not so much a celebratory holidy.

if you like him enough, you'll wait for him...plus when it's over, you'll miss kissing him so much, you might go into a full-blown makeout session...just wait and see!!!

Yep. happy.gif We exchange gifts at the end of Ramadan, which is a day called Eid. The last day. There isn't an "appropriate present", though... it's just like any Christmas present you'd give. You don't really have to, it isn't mandatory or anything.

I'm fasting right now, actually. You kind of get used to fasting after a while. It's just basically teaching you to have patience and purity, feeling how some others feel. So just be patient and soon you can do what you want with him. =]

Hmm I've never thought about that. This is our first Ramadan together. But I'e never known people to give presents before/during/after Ramadan. Usually the Muslims will have like a huge feast after Ramadan and invite everyone.

That is so good to know. I know about Eid but I have never really celebrated it with him. He got kinda mad at me cause I didn't congratulate him at the beginning though... He said most of his friends got cards and stuff. (yah hes a big baby haha) I actually wanted to congratulate him but I didn't know when it began... sweating.gif With Ramadan it's so hard cause it moves every year. He compared it to Christmas but I beg to differ! _dry.gif cause Christmas is :always: on the same day. Lalala nice to know u guys are such supportive gfs!!! I'd say it is the equivalent of Easter.
