Kiriban is usually a japanese website phenomenon when a website counter reaches a certain number, like 100, 250, 500, 1000 and so on. Visitors to these websites usually give drawings, animated gifs, or flash animations to commemorate the occasion.

I will now demonstrate.

Does 4218 have significance?

Usually, when the kiriban is not a multiple of 50 or 100, it's like 12345 or 31415926.

I'm celebrating my 5000th post, while masking it under the definition of kiriban.

100+ views, zero substance. This thread was all set up, crazy colors, whacky animated gif, and a good reason to be happy. Way to go you buzkills.

Kiriban is an internet culture phenomenon, particularly on Japanese websites. As I stated earlier, special drawings are made to commemorate the occasion. Hence, the animated gif of myself.
