Anywho, even if you were with him the whole day, you can still ask how his day was. Ask what his plans are for so and so. That's what I do.

Ask him if he saw a TV show you like . Maybe something in the show happened to you. Share the story.
He'll then end up sharing with you and for me, it gets realllyyy easy to talk.

Yeah, I can be like that sometimes too. But, I think you just have to ask about their day, ask about anything interesting that happened, ask them what they're going to do, etc.

You can ask him what he's doing on the weekend or yall cango to the movies. You cant do nothing much there except get distracted by the movie and then after that, yall can talk about what happened in the movie that was funny or what was scary about it. Well, you know. Just talk about anything.

Wow. I have that same problem. I talk about things that happened days ago, but try to pass them off as new...or a movie I watched recently...

Be random. REALLY REALLY random. That always helps with awkward silences for me.

Everyone would get quiet and then I'd say something like "You shouldn't wear a hat made out of jam. That's just asking for trouble." Then people are like "wtf Lauren? You're hella random." and it starts a whole new conversation either about jam or being non sequitur.

you dont always have to have a formal conversation, for example if your with the guy the whole day and your walking down the street and you see some goofy guy do something weird, you can say "hah look at that guy" and that'll start a whole damn conversation of comfort and laughter. you can even say if you see a car pass by "i want that car" and that'll start a convo. those are examples, its easy.
you can make conversation about anything. with out being totally random.

Hmm...this is a touchie. People might say go with the flow, but sometimes there really is nothing to say. I'd say you should go like "OMG that reminds me a really funny joke -think back to cB humor column"

I have this problem too sometimes. Like this last summer I gave this guy I met my number. And he called me, and seriously I could tell that I was probably boring him. Or at least I thought I was, but then he still kept calling back. He asked most of the questions. But you should go with the advice everyone else gave.

This is pretty helpful. I can never keep a conversation going. I'd be walking down the hall with a friend, and I'd say random things, and it'd just be like, uhh? and then we'd keep walking in silence.

But I guess just try to tell about funny childhood memories, because they always bring a laugh :) and whatever else you can think of. just relax and don't try too hard, because sometimes that makes you nervous and it doesnt help
