Anyone heard of them? I'm sure some of you have. Their first cd, A Fever You Can't Sweat Out just came out today, I'm totally gonna get it.

What do you think of these guys?

What music genre would you classify them in?

I bet they'll go mainstream pretty soon though. Once people get wind of them.

I LOVE them <3. They're reallly good and I love the music. I cannot wait to get the CD.
Hmm, I would say they're dance rock? Or something like that. But I love all their songs.
Hah, the lead singer's voice reminds me of Fall Out Boy...

I was just about to make a thread about them. I <3 them, even though the only way I've been able to listen to them is through purevolume so far. I'm going to get the CD, when I get money.

The Only Difference Between Martyrdom and Suicide is Press Coverage lyrics have been in my sig for like...a month.

Where is here? Because i would totally go to that

Panic! at the Disco is the Best. I recentlly got over them by listening to Fall Out Boy =D. According to itunes they are alternative/punk....I hope they dont go mainstream, because then there are those people that "love" them because of the song, technically speaking they would be liking the song, not the artist

I think they are really awful. Alot of their songs sound like an awful mess. And the whiney vocals were annoying a million years ago, now it's just insulting. Not to my taste, I guess.

I agree, I liked Panic for a while now but everyone is claiming to be there biggest fan when they've only herd two or three songs. It really gets on my nerves.

I didn't really get into them up until just about a week ago, actually. I liked their first single when it was pretty popular a few months ago, but I love the entire CD, actually. And heck yes they'd beat FOB anyday.

i've been a fan of theirs for a while now. i've ordered shirts from the fueled by ramen webstore and wore them to school and people were like "your shirt makes no sense at all christine."

and thanks to MTV, at least 10 people a week ask me to burn them cd's for them. and i have the lame excuse of, "my burners not working."

but anyway, the point of this post is...i still like them, but i hate it when they turn mainstream

I used to like Panic! At the Disco. Now they just kind of Suck! At the Disco. I don't dislike them because they've gone mainstream, but just the fact that their songs sound so edited and not raw at all...

They make me Barf! At the Disco.

After hearing everyone talking about them I've finally listen to them.
So far I've only listened to 3 of them:
Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her CLothes Off
Camisado
I Write Sins Not Tragidies

Out of those, I only like the first one.
The last one is okay.....but it's just the same exact thing over and over again.

Are there any other really good ones I should know of?

Well I listened to the album in March .. my friend lent it to me so I could rip the songs onto my iTunes.

Some good songs other than them are .. well in my opinion;

The Only Difference Between Martyrdom And Suicide Is Press Coverage.
But It's Better If You Do.
London Beckond Songs About Money Written By Machines.
There's A Good Reason These Tables are Numbered Honey, You Just Haven't Thought Of It Yet.

I do also like Build A God, Then We'll Talk.

i first heard Panic! on the music choice television channels ages ago, and had heard of them but never listened to them. i loved them.

my favourite song is 'the only difference between matyrdom and suicide is press coverage', and 'build god, then we'll talk' is great fun as well. and all their titles make me incredibly happy.

i actually think it's nice that they're more mainstream now. it means less people look at you funny when you mention one of their songs, and it also means you're more likely to hear the songs on the radio and such.
