Sidebar?, Looking for help with sidebars in lj. Options

Hey everyone, I honestly have searched and searched for some kind of help with sidebars, be it here, or on livejournal, but I just can't seem to find anything of any use.
Could anyone either help me with this, or point me in the direction of someone who can?

Also, if anyone could help me center the image/background that would also be great, at it isn't in line with the tables.

You're on the right track by putting all the nav info in the LASTN_WEBSITE part of the code.. Replace the navigation with a div layer:

If you wanted to use that image as a header image, I'd just use it as a background image instead..

Then change the "margin-top" to equal the height (or a little more than that) of your image.

Hi, sorry, I'm new and not sure how to edit a post.

I got my sidebar, eventually. However, it wont let me put images in.
Anyone know why?

Whenever you want to add an image in LJ, you hafta add this code:

style="visibility: visible;"

And since I'm just like that, I'll show you an example of the entire image code:

It's because you had to hide your navigation and userpic that normally show up at the top of the page, and the code you use to do that makes every image invisible. Go figure.

And don't worry about adding the new post; it makes it easier on us - I wouldn't have even checked this thread if I hadn't seen that there was a new post. But for future reference, if you have a need to edit your post, look in the upper right corner of the post and there should be an edit button.
