This new guy named Anthony recently moved to our school. He noticed that I kind of stared at him and he liked me. My friend Steven was the messanger lol. I didn't want him to be but he took it in his own hands and tried to hook us up. Anyways, he asked me out yesturday but I was sort of shocked. Steven yelled to him "She said maybe!" I did want to go out with him because he has a great personality. We have only talked a few times though.
The next day: It turns out he got a girlfriend this morning. He has been getting alot of popularity within the last day. I'm afraid he is going out with one of the popular girls that will turn him into a stuck up guy. I was intending on telling him I would be happy to go out with him, but suddenly he's taken. It just burned. I can't believe I took so long getting ready for him to notice me this morning. For nothing. Today he wouldn't even spare a passing glance. It was like he was too good for me. Now he is like every other popular dude. I'm a semi-popular person (not meaning to brag) but if your not one of the TOP TOP popular people - then there is no chance for you - at all. And it turns out - he became one of the TOP TOP people. It feels degrading. Any suggestions on how I might get him back? I really like him even though he has only been here for a week. Should I stay away and trust time? I need help! Thanks.

It makes me sick how people think of themselves as popular/simi-/ whatever. It's silly. Worry about something else other than that.
but anyways. be yourself. Don't be what people expect. Don't do what people want. Do what YOU want. Get his attention. be his friend. Show him the good sides of you. |

Wow, you seriously talk about how popular people are?
We definitely haven't done that since elementary school. We were wrong, too But anyway, I guess I can't help you, because I'm a geek at the bottom of the social ladder who can't get a guy interested in her

... well i guess you could still talk to him. but if he becomes stuck up and only dates the 'popular' girls JUST because they're popular, he's not worth it

Tell him that you would be glad to go out with him and you were just shocked so you couldn't answer the other day. If he says no, then he's not worth it.

alright herez what i will do.. right now jsut be friends with him... really be a friend.. im sure if the top top top popular girl is such a typical popular chic... shed give him mad probs.... and u can just be there for him like a grl next dooor or grl down to earth or some shiiit.. and if he really is decent and got his own personliaty.. he wont become one of them... he will stick to his own beliefz... and maybe who knows... u 2 will get togethaaaaa

HAHA "SEMI-POPULAR" whats that??? AHHH everybody is like "ahh the popular group....blablabla there so mean and stuck up." to me the popular ppl r the nice funny ppl. there can be gorgeouse girls and boys, but who said they were popular? lol or SEMI POPULAR
