For the first one:
2/3 x 3/4 is 1/2.
(Because you can multiply across and get 6/12, which reduces to 1/2. Or, you can cancel out the 3's and multiply across, getting 2/4, which also reduces to 1/2).
(1/2)/ (5/3- which is 1 2/3) is also equal to 1/2 x 3/5, since to divide fractions, you multiply by the reciprocal. You would get 3/10, which cannot be further reduced.

Second one:
2 1/2 is 5/2, 1 2/3 is 5/3
(5/2) / (5/6) is (using the method of dividing fractions I explained above) 5/2 x 6/5. That equals 6/2, which is 3.
3/ (5/3) is also equal to 3 x 3/5, which is 9/5. You can simplify that into 1 4/5.

Did that help at all?
