Hi everyone. I had a question for all you xanga masters out there. I JUST started using xanga and had a question about streaming/dling videos from xanga. I want to allow people to dl/stream videos from my xanga, but all these free hosts usually have a limit of 20mb or so. I was wondering, does that mean I can only have up to 20 mb of vids TOTAL on my xanga entries or does that mean, each video i upload can be 20mb and i can load as many videos as i want?
Part 2. If I sign up for my own website through yahoo or olm or something like that, and it's a shared server, does anyone know if I can use MY (yahoo, olm, etc.) site to host videos that will come out on my xanga entries??? Sorry for being such a new b, but I dont know jack when it comes to internet hosting and anything of that sort. Thanks so much for everyones help. Paul |

1. That's 20mb total.
2. You could host them on a website but some have restrictions on the type of files you can upload so depending on the file extension, you may not be able to load them. Also, depending on the site, you may not be able to link to them from your xanga. |

Thanks for the reply missmata. I've been trying to figure out the best way to upload vids for awhile now but none seem to be all too reasonable... :(

Hi. I just had a question. sites such as putfile won't allow me to directly put their videos onto my xanga entries so is there a free host that would allow me to do so? my video is on putfile.com but the url doesnt end in .wmv, .avi, etc. When I try and use this code
<embed src="URL" autostart="true" loop="-1" width="widthhere" height="HeightHere"></embed> it doesn't work. I've pulled out my actual video link from putfile.coms source, but i dont think that's allowed. Can anyone help me with a site that offers uploaded videos that can be directly linked? Also, I don't mind even paying for a small shared server like from olm.com or some other web hosts like that, but most do not allow streaming of videos unless I get a dedicated server which is too expensive for me. Can anyone help me out with this? Thanks. Paul |

Putfile does. You just have to know how to look for it.
 It's embedded into their page, the have to have it uploaded onto their servers.-> Merged. Just keep posting in the original....
