Okay, so I've been thinking. My school is inforcing more dress code this year and one of the rules is no bra straps showing. But, during swimming, they don't care what kind of swimsuit we wear? What's the difference?

Why is a movie upped in rating if a women is shown in her underwear or if a man is shown in his underwear, but not if they are shown in swimsuits?

This world is so weird!

Tell me what you think! biggrin.gif

i've wondered about that myself, people are just so strange.

i think it's because underwear is provocative and that it's traditionally only seen by your spouse...or something like that. i don't know what to say about bathing suits...some suits cover up less than underwear ermm.gif

Yeah, that's messed up lol At my school, the teachers are obsessed with the dress code but most kids violate it anyway. I think it's just our year...

When we were in 7th grade (we're in 11th now) we actually had the flip-flop rebellion. Petitions were circling around (I had no part in this... shifty.gif ) and people wore flip flops all the time to piss teachers off. Eventually, they let us wear them.

In 4th grade, Game Boys were not allowed anymore because kids were playing with them during class. However, the teachers forgot to ban the games themselves. I had friends who taped game cartridges to their shirts all day in protest.

In conclusion, yeah, the world is messed up but we can always change it lol

One guy at my school did that, and got suspended. I think it was because he was white...no racism intended..

Blah..stupid school dress code..it needs to rot in hell..

That's a good point. I never thought about it. Maybe they consider swimsuits to not be as explicit as underclothes if that made any sense at all.

ugh dreadlocks are gross. i wish they banned that at my school. the girl who sat in front of me has really long hair and hers were in dreads. they grossed me out because they looked so unkempt, unwashed, and just plain disgusting.

Swimsuits are expected to reveal body parts anyway I guess. While normal clothing....shouldn't?

But anyways, my school doesn't have a dress code. Nada. Except that they expect you to be moral enough to not come to school in like, a bra and underwear. But we can expose our bellies and wear tank tops and have our bra straps showing and stuff.

Yeah, it's messed up.

Probably because undergarments are more private, and swimsuits are regularly worn in public areas. It's like how you react to your classmate walking into class with only his boxers, and how you'd react to your classmate walking into swimming class with swimming trunks.

Hope that made sense. ._.

yeah its kind of funny to see a woman in a string bikini in a pg movie and a woman in underwear (that actually covers up more skin) in a pg13/R movie XD
