i lost weight with Mulder!

i made another planet. but this time, with a tutorial (here). i like this one a lot better. i made 2 versions. 1 has more "atmosphere" than the other.





i did the best i could, since psp8 doesnt have a lot of the photoshop stuff. sad.gif

Thats cool. I tried making some planets myself, but it didn't turn out that well.

yay more planets! wow quite the improvement, they are too cool! the planets have such nice textures and everything.. great job

i think the less atmosphere one is better

thanks! yea, i like the one with less atmosphere too, thats why i put up 2 versions. its cuz i cant do...linear dodge, outer glow, and inner glow with psp8.

Just curious - are you using textured brushes to make your planet or are you using pictures of textures?

If you're using brushes, stop and use textures. And if you're already using textures, try to find the largest textures possible and then make your planet about twice the final size, and then scale down and use a Sharpen filter to bring out some more detail.

im used textures, not brushes. but i was following a tutorial, so id probably do things a little different. i didnt make it big enough..but next time i will. i think the surface looks pretty good, considering i embossed it. eh. next time it'll be better. i promise. happy.gif

ooh i made planets w/ that tutorial too!..here..lol.. urs looks nice =]..better than the 1st ones hehe
