Please don't take this as an insult, but if bra straps make u feel awkward, that means you have some growing up to do. I mean, for all you know, those are spaghetti strap tank tops those girls are wearing under their shirts. Its a style. Especially since the 80's are coming back, you will be seeing a lot of that. Just accept it as style and let it go. I mean, if you start seeing bare breasts or butt cracks, yeah get uncomfortable cuz girls shouldn't be walking around showing it all, but honestly, a strap is just a peice of fabric, plain and simple.

It's not really that big of a deal. I agree, they're just a piece of fabric, i don't see why it makes you uncomferable.

I've never noticed that, but then I'm not the most observant being in the world. I don't think it's a big deal though. It's just a piece of fabric.

Umm...What if it's accidentally showing? You really have to grow up if you feel uncomfortable about it.

That's normal...actually the last one is pretty common...and for all you know, or should care, what you're seeing is just a tank top.

i never thought of that...it seems true. back in the 80's people wore loose off the shoulder shirts (kind of like in flashdance i think) and a tank top underneath or a bra.

1 is sort of weird. is it supposed to be like a tank top?

I think they're fine. Why does it matter so much if straps show? And it's probably like a cami/tanktop or something in numbers 2 & 3.

Personally I never saw anything wrong with showing bra straps. I mean its basically like wearing a bikini top. You don't see people freaking out at the beach when girls go around in bikinis and showing everything off, yet if a bit of bra shows it instantly makes a girl a whore. Its all in the style really, and its how the person works it. I never was ashamed of my body, but I don't go around flashing it off either. If she's flashing her boobs too much, or showing too much crack then for me that is just nasty. Thats not style thats just disgusting and that for me makes them a whore. I like #1 because I wear shirts like that often. I think its cute if you can match a bra or color code it with a nice shirt because it all adds into your style. #2 is okay, but not really my thing because I never found those kind of shirts cute. And #3 is okay, but if I was to wear a shirt like that I'd normally go strapless, find a shirt with a built in bra, or adjust the straps so as to not flash them. I can see wear some people find it nasty, especially if its just all out there, but if its done tastefully I think its okay. Man I never really got into talking about bra's before and now it makes me wonder haha...

I don't really think there's anything wrong with it...I wear shirts kinda like that I guess, but not really. I don't know. If the school board's okay with it, then there's not a problem.

about the racerback tank, wearing a regular bra to show the straps is weird but wearing a racerback bra behind it is ok i think...

As for the shirt, i think it's ok i guess...
As for this topic...my gut tells me this should be in Fashion.
I mean you are wanting our opinion on a certain clothing style.

I'm moving this to Fashion

Mods feel free to move it back to the Girls Locker Room if I am wrong!

It doesn't bother me. I think it would be weirder if they werent showing. As long as it's not too much of a clashing color.

besides, clear straps look really tacky

I don't think it's too bad. It's okay if a bra straps show. What would be even better maybe if the bra straps were matching the top? Would that be better? I don't know bbut for me the whole bra straps showing is not too bad. What I don't like is showing TOO much skin
