I want to see something intelligent for once, so I'm planning to visit some Broadway musicals and some plays in Chicago...do you guys have some names of some highly reccomended and/or wildly popular ones??
I only know that Wicked is really popular right now and has good ratings...I don't have any other titles...  ...Thanks! |

Ooohh yah baby, this is totally my kinda thread :)
I've listened to about half of the Wicked soundtrack...it sounds amazing...it's more modern broadway tho, so if you prefer that more. But it def is great music.. I def wanna see it. "Lion King" is supposed to be great! you would enjoy it no matter what kind of taste you have in music. The costumes are supposed to be amazing, and the dancing phenomeonal...wait did i spell that right... If you are a hopeless romantic like me, haha then you'd love "Phantom of the Opera" and the music is amazing! Andrew Lloyd Weber...if you've ever heard any of his stuff. (Joseph and the Amazing Color Dreamcoat, Evita, Sunset Blvd..Ect..) But the music is amazing... I wanna see it soo bad! "Chicago"-I heard it was awesome. the music is great, catchy... the storyline entertaining, and very good dancing..see the movie first with Catherine Zeta Jones and see if you wanna see it. I just started to listen to Seussical the Musicaland the music is so great, i fell in love with it lol. so cute...i really wanna be a part of this musical, the music makes you want to be part of it If not any of those you should def consider one of these : Hairspray, Beauty & the Beast, RENT, Mamma Mia! The Producers, Chorus Line, Aida... Man, all of those shows are great...You should do some research on some of those. Most of them up there are movies...like you gotta see "Grease"..that was so great. But i dunno what kinda show you are looking for...So the first ones i mentioned are the ones i wanna see right now...but gimme more detail on what kinda show you want :) Man, you should def see Phantom of the Opera..atleast the movie. |

Broadway in NY? Definitely go check out RENT, I loved that show.
