Ok. I'm starting school this year after homeschooling all my life. I'm going into grade 10, and I have a few more questions:

1. Do you carry your backpack around with you to every class, or do you store it in your locker and just carry around the stuff you need to?

2. What if you start your period in the middle of class (hence why I put this in the girls locker room) and you didn't take your backpack with you...how would you non suspiciously get a tampon/pad and carry it to the bathroom? Further more, if you had your backpack with you, and you asked to go to the bathroom, would it look really weird to carry your backpack to the bathroom with you so you could get a tampon/pad out of it? And if so, how do you do it? Should I carry my purse in my backpack and then when I need to go to the bathroom I can just get my purse out fo my backpack and take that instead?

tell the teacher and they'll let you go get it. if you don't have one, you go to the nurse and they give you one.

Don't you get cramps or anything before your period? That's how I know, so i wouldn't have to go through that...

we don't have lockers so i have to carry my backpack everywhere

1. Yeah, my backpack is with me at all times. Except when I gotta dress for P.E., then it's in my Gym Locker.

2. I hardly get my period at school. heh.

1) Depends on your school if they have lockers or not. But do whatever you think is comfortable to you.

2) Carry a small bag with pads/tampons and what not. What Liz said

1.)My backpack stays with me at all times, since I do keep my wallet in there.
2.)The bathrooms at my school have tampon/pad machines. But if you dont want to use those just bring some of your own from home and keep it in your purse. Because if you take your backpack with you during the middle of class it looks kind of suspicious. Btw whenever I take a purse with me to schol (which is like rarely) I keep it in te backpack. Then take it out when needed.

Good luck on starting real highschool biggrin.gif .

1) I usually stay in one classroom unless I need to go to other special rooms, so I take only the textbooks needed and my pencil bag.

2) I keep a pad in my pocket when I know it's about time.

1. I carry my backpack around with me, so i'm not stuck without anything. There was one teacher last year tho, that didn't let us bring our back packs into class, so I had to carry my books then. It was a pain.

2. A lot of people in my school carry a purse AND a backpack, but I don't do that . So you can bring your purse into the bathroom. I ususally bring my backpack and sit at the back of the room, so i'd slip a pad/tampon into my pocket, and ask to go to the washroom. If I didn't have my bag, then my bag would be in my locker, so it'd be even easier because then I could just stop by my locker before going to the washroom. If I were you, i'd just stick my purse in my backpack and do it like that. Makes things simpler.

Good luck with highschool! You'll have fun like you'd never believe.

I bring my backpack around. We dont even have lockers...so we have to bring our backpack. And if you dont have a pad or tampn with you tell your teacher that you have your period and im sure he/she will let you out. You can go to the nurse's room to get an extra tampon or pad. I hope that helped.

1. Depends. In middle school, I didn't carry around my bag. There was no need because I had time to go to my locker. Now that I'm starting highschool I KNOW I'm going to carry around my bag because I'll have so many books and barely time to go to my locker.

2. Well, you usually know when your periods going to start right? Like a general week, or something? Yeah, well just carry a pad/tampon around with you for that week in case you start. Or just go the nurse/a friend.

Well I carry my bag with me to each class, but I drop off the books and stuff I don't need in my locker. It's up to you what you want to do.

About your period, just ask the teacher to go to the bathroom and go to your locker to take out a pad/tampon to use. Sometimes, I would sneak a pad/tampon into my pocket and ask to go to the bathroom.

1) It depends on your school. Some don't let you but some do. So, I guess just find out what your school does.

2)OMG. I had the same problem. It would look really awkward if i like carried my bag out. People would stare at you and be like wtf? What I Do:
1) If I got my period, I'd ask to go to the bathroom, then run as fast as i can to my locker, stuff a tampon in my pocket and run to the bathroom.

2) Or, I keep a hoodie in my bag at all times and keep a tampon in the pocket. And when i get my period i just put my hoodie on, pretending im cold, and then ask to use the bathroom.

3) They've got like tampon machines at our school and all you do is deposit a quarter or something. Just keep a quarter or two handy and run to the bathroom when you've got ur period.

Good Luck thumbsup.gif

Back packs had to be kept in lockers at my old school, but we could have purses. I think its better that way. I carry tampons in my purse.

Thanks, and I think I'll keep my purse in my backpack like you said, that would be the easiest. And if they have tampon despencers in the bathroom at our school than it would be even easier jsut to keep a few quarters with me. Thanks for all the help guys! flowers.gif

1. Depends on what school you're going to. I carry my backpack around. My schools too cheap to buy lockers....
2. What practically everyone else said. Get a purse. But I hate purses so usually I wear my gigantic pants with the gigantic pockets, but please don't do that.

[Edit] Gahhh-I'm kinda late aren't I?

1) I used to leave my bookbag in my locker, and just carry the stuff i need to class. Tho it matters how much time you have between classes and how far away your locker is. And if you need to go to 4 or 5 classes without stopping at your locker, then you need a book bag :) lol whatever is more convenient for you. But i mean if you have all the time in the world to go to your locker before every class or every other class, then just carry the books in your arm. no biggie.
2)lol i suggest you carry a purse with you, and store all that stuff in your purse. And if you are carrying a bookbag and a purse, then just stick ur purse inside your bookbag. Again, no biggie :) You'll be fine :)

For the period bit, I usually track when my period is going to begin & wear a liner until I get it. I wait inbetween classes to change it, if the teacher doesn't mind you being late, or whenever I had a free one.

[COLOR=blue] Last year, I had the worst locker in the locker bay [us washington-ians have bays of all kinds. ] , so I had this huge backpack and just carried everythihng around, which I liked alot, since I didnt have to worry so much about being late to class [Our school is huge. ]. This year, I am planning on using my locker alot more this year [hence, having a much more fashionable backpack. messenger bag, baby!] what you really need to think about is where your locker is as opposed to where your classes are, like if it would be too inconvienent to go to your locker when your next class is on the other side of the school. Or you can bring only a certain number of books, take them back after classes, and take some more for the rest of the day [sorry if this is too confusing!]

Okay, What I do is put a tampon in my pocket or in like, the top of my pants i guess, so no one notices me taking one. then i go to the bathroom. Or I would take my backpack during passing time so I can get my tampon/pad. sometimes I buy them there in the vending machine in the bathroom. I think that you can just take your purse to the bathroom. I dont really think it is a big deal, and if guys ask about it, I tell them to mind their own business, they dont really need to know that stuff =D

i agree with what a lot of people said. as for the second question, you could always just ask to go to the washroom, go to your locker, get your stuff and then go to the washroom.
