my house is infested with giant wasps.

apparently they are some sort of european breed which has migrate to the UK due to warmer temperatures. AND THEY ARE f**king EVERYWHERE

and, i hat ewasps. i am scared of them, they give me panic attacks. and these things are about two inches long. seriously. d;lsakghjdg

they are nocturnal, and they are attracted to light in the same way as moths are, which means that if we open windows at night, the house fills with them... there are currently about 6 crawling around on the window... its like acheap horror movie

giant wasps living in my house is just about the least pleasent scenario i can imagine... what's yours?

Um ... my cousin had a wasp hive on the side of her house, a beehive on the front side of her house and skunks living on the other side of her house. I must say it's quite a "Snowwhite" story minus the dwarves, the evil witch, and the nice animals.

Holy crap. There are 8 wasps in your house and you're not like...screaming or in hysteria yet?

If there was ONE wasp in my house, I'd get all the flyswatters I could and run around screaming swatting everything that moved.

It's sad, but true.

No, I've never had a situation like that, but there once was a large flying insect in the house and I thought it was a wasp...I was 9 and alone at home and I hate flying insects so I ran to my room and slammed the door shut and didn't come out until my grandmother came home.

._.

Well, in the summer, sometimes, there are like...tons and tons of flies in the house. But you never really notice them. It's just like, if you sit still for about 5 minutes, one will whoosh past. I remember once I went around swatting them all day and they just kept REAPPEARING...I went psycho.

Oh yeah...My friend walked under a hive and a dead wasp fell on her head. Ahahahaha! My friend just gets stung because she has those...Sunflowers...Around her house.

Haha, yes, yes they are.

I had them in my room in Macedonia. I believe they're hornets though. They're HUGEEEE though; quite easy to kill if you have a fly swatter.
I collected 2 and I put them in a jar thing and they.... died.... and smelled pretty horribly after a few days.

Wasps.. that reminds me, there was this small, growing wasp nest in my backyard, and I asked my dad and my grandfather to get rid of it, and they were all "Uh.. whoa, just leave it be, it'll uh.. go away!" And then when I told my mom, she got a broom, whacked it on the floor, picked it up and threw it in the trash can.

:D I love my mom !

The worst scenario.. let's see.. your in a creepy dark room with clowns and spiders and mushrooms everywhere.. and the clowns are my brother in disguise. How horrible.

Me too. I don't like to eat them either. Wow your dad and grandpa reminds me of when my dad and his friend's grandpa said that too. They were like, "it's okay. ignore it. it wont kill you"

but when I asked my mom. she got a fishing net. put the wasp nest in the net and dump into the trash can. i remember one of them came out... my mom and i ran back in >.<;; lol my mom is scared of it but she worries that i'll get stung and something bad happens.

that's cool that our moms will do something like that. lol

Live someplace else for a while...a friend's house, a hotel. A hotel would have air conditioning, no need to open windows. Then you can keep all your windows closed at your home and no more than what's already in there can get in. Eventually they will die right? Then you can come back home...

Would that work? ermm.gif
